It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry D. Meyers on Saturday, September 12.
Raised in the Texas Panhandle and a proud graduate of Texas Tech University, Larry made his way to Washington, D.C. in the 1970s and spent nearly 50 years building a remarkable life and career of service. Larry was known for his kindness, generosity, unwavering integrity, and deep commitment to his family, friends, colleagues, and community. He touched countless lives through his mentorship, friendship, and genuine concern for others.
Larry’s legacy will endure in the many people he inspired and supported throughout his life. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Wheatley Funeral Home in Alexandria, Virginia. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 19th at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Alexandria.
